Intro
Warming up before an exercise is good so you don’t get a muscle cramp while exercising. However, sometimes, excessive heating of the body can make things go out of hand, and perhaps out of the endurance limit of our planet.
Our Earth is being subjected to drastic climate change and alarming Global Warming alerts due to disruptive human activities presented in the burning of fossil fuels that release more Greenhouse Gases into the planet’s atmosphere; also known as the air you, us and everyone else is breathing as we speak… well, or write.
Doesn’t matter really, what matters now is that you should be aware of what we’re about to share with you because the issue is much more threatening than you think. Natural weather patterns are subject to serious changes, sea levels are rising, ice is melting, heat is increasing, and natural disasters are only the start before the big collapse happens.
The damage is already happening but it’s never too late to hold it back or better stop it. Today, we let you on this serious topic and better how you can help mitigate the increasing Greenhouse emissions through technological advancements such as E-invoicing.
The Climate System & Climate Change
Before we talk about climate change, let’s define what a climate system is in the first place so we’re able to proceed with ease. When we say the word “climate”, we refer to what is known as the “Global Climate”. Why is it global? Because it affects the entire planet and everyone on it. In simple English, the natural system consists of the Earth we’re on, the Sun, deserts, seas, forests, and others as well as how humans interact with these elements is what makes up the Global Climate we have today.
Hence, “Climate Change” can be interpreted as a change that doesn’t affect one part of the planet and ignores another, it’s how one action in a specific place affects another because they’re all part of one connected system that functions cohesively.
Example: The Gulf Stream plays an essential role in climate regulation as it’s responsible for transporting warm water from the tropics to the North Atlantic, thereby, affecting weather patterns in Europe. Two different locations yet the behavioral change of one influences the other.
What is Global Warming?
Global Warming refers to a slow and continuing increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere. This increase happens when the heat is trapped instead of being radiated back to space. Thus, our Earth is becoming warmer than it should be due to the increasing percentage of heat in the Greenhouse atmosphere. This takes us to the next important term we should know, Greenhouse gases.
Greenhouse Gases, What Are They? Why Do They Matter?
Greenhouse gases are part of our Earth’s atmosphere and they consist of different gases which are carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, nitrous oxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and water vapor. By nature, the Earth has a perfect average temperature of 15 °C (59 °F) and a natural Greenhouse effect where these gases are trapped near the surface of the Earth.
So, what happened? Humans have started doing some activities that caused an imbalance in this temperature, mainly caused by fossil fuel emissions. The problem lies in the fact that these emissions have triggered the release of carbon dioxide as well as other gases found in the planet’s atmosphere in abnormal ways. Hence, messing up with the natural balance of heat.
Having a rapid and continuous increase at the same time is dangerous as it means that as long as this proceeds, the average temperature will continue to increase due to increasing trapped gases being emitted but not radiated. More like trapping smoke inside a room without any windows or doors open. The clouds of smoke keep getting bigger but never let out.
What Causes Global Warming?
As previously mentioned, Global Warming is caused by the emission of fossil fuels due to industrial evolution. The start date of when this was first noticed goes back to the 19th century with the discovery and use of coal.
Adding energy and heat on top of the energy and heat the Earth already has means it only keeps adding up but never tones down. Having more Carbon on top of what already exists means we’re dealing with excess amounts now and that’s why the Earth keeps heating up. Ultimately, leading to Global Warming developing at alarming rates.
How To Practice Earth-Friendly Invoicing Methods?
Taking advantage of technology should always be done the right way, and by that, we mean utilizing this great weapon to good deeds that do our planet a favor. That’s what we have come to serve today with our InvoiceQ solutions. Our E-invoicing solutions are not only budget-friendly but also eco-friendly and can help make a difference due to the following:
Relying on Green Technologies: E-invoicing solutions consider sustainable alternatives in mind such as energy-saving data centers, and cloud computing technologies.
Less Paper Usage: E-invoicing solutions replace paper invoices with electronic ones, meaning less need for paper production & consumption which requires cutting down trees which increases the climate change risks due to deforestation.
Reduced Gas Emissions: E-invoicing automates manual processes found in traditional invoicing, reducing the need for physical travel or transportation to deliver invoices or get processes done in person. In turn, this reduces fuel consumption & emissions and saves energy.
Promoting Sustainable Practices: Businesses can adopt sustainable practices by embracing E-invoicing. With E-invoicing, companies can demonstrate their commitment to environmental responsibility and motivate others to follow the same path.
Space Saving: E-invoicing means no need for physical space to store paper documents. This translates to less resource spending on paper production and logistics to save and track all documents.
Would You Rather Be A Paper Waster Or A Planet Savior?
The choice you make today does not affect you alone, the decisions we make today affect the whole world, the parts of it that we reach and those that we don’t. Because the planet is interconnected from the North to the South and East to the West. Today your choices make a difference so make it one worth noting instead of blaming.
